Make progress when you have no idea how

Getting Unstuck

Nobody is ever taught what to do when they have no idea what to do. So most people, faced with something broken and unfamiliar, try the same thing six times and then quietly give up or wait for someone else. This module replaces that with a procedure: locate what is actually blocking you, read the error the machine already gave you, ask a question someone will answer, start work you have been avoiding, and learn a new thing fast enough to be useful this month. It is the most portable set of skills on this site — the tools will change and this will not.
